As a fresh Egyptian expat and my first year to attend Ramadan in Dubai, it was a real struggle for me to find a place that sell raw atayef, konafa and rokak, as sometimes I like to make some of my mom’s homemade Ramadan recipes so it could still feel like home. I had to ask around, google for bakeries or patisseries and get my friends to ask their friends to get me some useful info on that, and luckily, I’ve found a few places.

    1. Abou Ammar

    hqdefault

This man is a freelancer baker will deliver anything your heart desires, from Egyptian bread to rokak, konafa, atayef and more. Unfortunately, this year he is not serving konafa and atayef, but rokak and Egyptian bread are available. Phone: +971 55 821 1393.

    2. Carrefour

If you have a Carrefour market near you, you might find stuff there…they’ll just be frozen.

    3. Union Cooperative society Hypermarket

Union Co-op has 10 branches spread over strategic areas in the UAE; such as Satwa, Rashidiya, Hamriya, Towar, Mankhool, Jumeirah, Aweer, and Wasl, in addition to two branches in Mirdif at Etihad Mall and in Barsha at Barsha Mall.

    4. Istanbul Supermarket

People in Sharjah can finally get their konafa game on with Istanbul!

    5. Al Karama Market

    Souks

It is an open souk in downtown where you can get everything raw from.

    6. Al Habib Bakery

    habib

Whether you want rokak, konafa or whichever, you’ll get your Ramadan desserts game on point! Phone: +971 4 2691795.

    7. Firas Patisserie

Their rokak is probably my favorite in the UAE. Phone:+971 4 341 3123.

    8. Lulu Market

    LULU-HYPERMARKET

Other than the fact that you can get your raw konafa from here, you can also do it while grocery shopping for your entire home!

    9. Waitrose

    Waitrose 2_tcm87-21839

Located at The Dubai Mall and Marina Mall, the popular UK  supermarket has everything you need to make your Ramadan feel special…and delicious! Phone: +971 4 4340700.

    10. Al Reef Lebanese Bakery

    Al-Reef-e1398846248435
All dem Lebanese people don’t need to go back to the motherland no more as the UAE has everything they need from there, when it comes to Ramadan sweets. Phone: +971 4 2632100.

    11. Hyper Panda

    pandaaziz

Last but not least, atayef from HyperPanda is a must-have. Phone: +971 4 232 5997.
