In partnership with Entrepreneurial Ventures of Arabia, the 3rd Global Entrepreneurship Summit has officially opened in Dubai at the World Trade Center yesterday, to an audience including a plethora of the region’s foremost business leaders, entrepreneurs, several members of the Dubai royal family and a video message from the President of the United States, Barack Obama.
HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum addressed the hundreds of attendees at the opening ceremony, as did HH Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, minister of foreign affairs.
The summit aims to bring the region’s most prominent names in business together with SMEs and entrepreneurs in order to prosper relations between them to aid in the growth of this sector growing to become the biggest private companies in the future.
Exhibitors from all over the MENA region and the united States gathered to showcase their startup business and businesses & organization aiding those in the process. Cairo’s own tech incubator & accelerator, Flat6Labs, took part and was showcasing some of their startups at the summit opening new doors to upcoming Egyptian entrepreneurs in the tech field.
The UAE’s biggest SME endorsers and developers, Dubai SME & Khalifa Fund for Development brought over 60 of their latest & biggest SME projects showcasing each of them and opening up new opportunities between them, the region and the world.
