9 Simple Things We’ll Always Love About Sahel

We’ve been complaining about how crowded Sahel is becoming and how it has turned from being the chilled vacation spot to a non-stop exhausting party place where everyone makes a big deal out of everything.

Yes, it’s crowded. Yes, it’s pretentious. And yes, it’s annoying. But we still go… Every. Single. Weekend.

While it has become annoying, there are still things we love about it that make us come back over and over again.

We’ll never get enough of these simple things:

    Feteer

    geddy-restaurant

I don’t know what it is that makes it taste so much better in Sahel, but no one makes feteer quite as scrumptious as the ones we eat there.

The Sahel experience will never be complete without that mix cheese feteera and eshta w 3asal!

    El lesan

    Marina_sea_bridge

The lesan has always been one of my most happiest places, a place where we can go to just chill, relax and be surrounded by the sea. With the waves crashing against the rocks, the lesan has a soothingness that takes you out of this world.

Whether it’s in the morning or at night, the lesan is a sanctuary that will always make me want to go to Sahel.

    Gandofly 3al ba7r

Once you see the guy selling clams on the beach, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty, because there aren’t any clams that taste as delicious as these do! They cook them with just the right flavours and marination and it’s the perfect snack you need on the beach.

Don’t worry about your hands getting dirty, just ask for a lemon with the clams and rub it over your hands when your done.

    Friska

    friska

It’s like Christmas and Santa with presents when the guy with friska shows up! After you’ve been swimming in the salty seawater, friska has just enough sweetness to make the perfect balance! How come we can never get friska in Cairo?

    Cold sand against your feet

That feeling you get when you dig up the sand with your feet and you feel its coldness between your toes is just so soothing.

    The weather

Sunny weather with a breeze of cool air makes Sahel the place to be. Just don’t forget your hair spray to calm down what the humidity does to it!

    Sunset on the beach

Let’s be honest, can you ever get enough of this view?

    Saber

Forget about the crowded hotspots that EVERYONE goes to, there’s nothing like the old garden Saber has in Marina 1. Shisha, roz belaban and kotchena, now that’s a laid back night you’ll enjoy!

    The tan

That bronzy tan is your reminder of what a great time you had, unless you’re like me and you go black instead of bronze!
