There is no joy in this world that matches having kids. They make you love life, laugh and give you a sense of fulfillment, but sometimes they make you cry and I am not talking about happy tears. A parent can be as perfect as they come, but every once in a while we are all bound to screw up. That has nothing to do with being a bad parent and everything to do with being a human being.

No matter how well we plan our children’s day, something unexpected will happen and we eventually lose it. We don’t want any parent feeling like the only failure in the world, so we decided to share some unpleasant yet occasionally hilarious situations we face on weekends:

Staying up late on a Thursday night with friends then having to wake up at 7 A.M the next day

    TiredParents

No matter how early you wake up, you have no option but become a ball of happy energy

Listening to Barney, Princess Sophia, Frozen and Mickey Mouse songs ALL DAY LONG

The endless sports training and of course the fact that if your kid has more than two, there must be at least a couple of hours gap of roaming the streets aimlessly until the next one starts

Mall tantrums when they realize they can’t own everything in the store

Realizing your child has a fever and they can’t do all the fun stuff you promised them all week A.K.A another tantrum

Nap times that interfere with showtimes at the movie theater

Forgetting the baby’s spare clothes which ends with an infinite phobia of urine.

A child who refuses to eat at a restaurant and the minute you leave, they scream “Hungry”

Planning for days what to wear at your highly anticipated outing and end up passing out on the couch in your pajamas instead

Putting your kids to bed before going out, but they resist sleep and you decide to nap till the next morning

And if you miraculously manage to go out, an hour later you get the infamous phone call, “Come back immediately, the baby is screaming”

    black christmas oh on phone

Forgetting to take your child’s lunch box with you while doing errands

And of course sometimes you just wake up at 5 A.M on a weekend just to do something for yourself (Nails, hair, exercise, etc.), but the baby wakes up 30 minutes later.
