- None of Martin Garrix‘s follow-up singles have had the same impact as his breakthrough hit “Animals”, but now he’s back with a promising new one titled “Don’t Look Down”. The 18-year-old Dutch DJ has teamed up with Usher for the dance track, so it’s guaranteed to stay on the charts and the airwaves for a while yet.
- And Ameriie is back with one more I in her name and new percussion-driven single “Out Loud” and it sounds pretty great. The R&B singer is planning to release two albums this year, so let’s hope there are more singles coming out soon. Ameriie is most known for her 2005 hit single “1 Thing”.
- Of Monsters and Men are also focusing on drums rather than their signature horns in their new one – the Icelandic folk band have just released brand new single “Crystals”, and announced that their second album Beneath The Skin will be released this June. Their first album My Head Is An Animal was released in 2011.
- The disco vibe of Snoop Dogg‘s new single “Peaches N Cream” has stretched over to the new video, which combines ancient Egyptian imagery with futuristic funk and 70s retro themes. The track is the first single from his upcoming album BUSH, which drops next month.
- Björk is referring to the visual accompanying her new single “Family” as a “moving album cover” which makes sense because a still from the video is being used as the album cover of her new LP Vulnicura, which was released digitally in January. And it’s a stunning video with an unsurprisingly beautiful track:
- A week ahead of the release date, Kendrick Lamar‘s new album To Pimp A Butterfly is now out and definitely worth a listen. The album includes singles “I” and “The Blacker The Berry” as well as “King Kunta”, which leaked online a few days ago and is expected to be the next official single.
