There comes a time in every mama’s life where she has to get back to work and send her baby to daycare – but where?

We’ve put together a list of the top 10 nurseries in Dubai, in no specific order:

    1. British Orchard

    1362380730653

This award-winning UK-educated nursery is run by a well-trained international staff, and is well-equipped with a sand pit, music room, library, swimming pool, indoor and outdoor play areas and a fitness center.

The various themed classrooms are equipped with CCTVs to allow parents to keep tabs on their little ones. They have 14 branches all over the city, making it accessible to parents. It’s also important to note that they’re the first nursery chain in the Middle East to be ISO: 9001-2008 quality certified.

Age range: 6 months – 4 years old

    2. Children’s Garden

This multilingual school offers English, Arabic, French and German. The school is located in Barsha and Jumeirah and offers a well-equipped facility, well-trained staff and fun themed events for the children.

    Age range: 2 – 5 years old

    3. Homegrown

    homegrown

Homegrown is the UAE’s first “Green thinking” eco-nursery, giving children a holistic “nurture by nature” experience. The indoor and outdoor play areas focus heavily on the natural environment, encouraging activities such as gardening, recycling, garden walks and more.

They also use non-toxic material to ensure safe surroundings for the children. They heavily encourage parental involvement, offering workshops and activities. The nursery is located in Jumeirah, off of Al Wasl road.

    Age range: 1 – 4 years old

    4. Blossoms

Located in Jumierah, on Um Al Sheif road, Blossoms emphasizes their focus on character development and goals. They focus heavily on building the unique skills and capabilities of each child, while focusing on responsible learning, self-guided play, independence, sharing and more.

Their curriculum is based on the framework of the British Foundation curriculum with elements of Montessori, Steiner and Reggio approaches.

Age range: 6 months – 6 years old

    5. Jumeirah International

    jumeirahinternational

The Jumeirah International nursery school curriculum is based on the British Early Years Foundation Stage of the English National Curriculum. With an impressive facility, they offer a bike track, indoor and outdoor play areas, sand pit, pirate ship, role-play area, swimming pool, shopping area and more.

Age range: 6 weeks – 4 years old

    7. Toddler Town

This British nursery follows the Early Years Foundation stage profile, which is based around four framework themes for the children with six areas of learning: unique child, positive relationships, enabling environments and learning and development. The nursery is located in JBR.

Age range: 6 months – 4 years old

    7. Asya’s Nursery

This nursery is the only one on the Palm Jumeirah to date, so it’s important to register early as the spaces get filled up pretty quickly. The nursery has a diverse staff and is one of only three PLA accredited nurseries in Dubai.

Besides daily day care, they also offer hourly care for parents that need to drop off their kids for a few hours sporadically. The nursery offers a gym, Arabic and French lessons, ballet and interactive communication technology classes.

Age range: 45 days – 4 years old

    8. Raffles International

    raffles

This nursery has multiple branches around Dubai, from Arabian Ranches to the Dubai Marina. With an international teaching staff, the nursery focuses on personal, social and emotional development.

The Montessori-based curriculum is built around communication (language and literacy), mathematical development, physical development, creative development and knowledge and understanding of the world.

Age range: 18 months – 4 years old

    9. Yellow Brick

This nursery is located in the Al Garhoud area. They pride themselves in creating a “child’s world” as opposed to an “adult’s world in miniature”.

Yellow Brick also follows the Early Years Foundation stage profile mentioned above, alongside Montessori methodology. They have fully-equipped indoor and outdoor facilities, a library, and a music and multi-purpose room.

Age range: 2 months – 4 years old
