With the 2025 Cannes Film Festival right around the corner (May 13 to May 24, mark your calendars), we’re throwing it back to last year when Arab celebs truly ate and left no crumbs.

From classic glamour to modern sparkle, these icons didn’t just walk the red carpet; they owned it. Here’s who turned heads in 2024 and had the fashion world talking for days.

    Dorra Zarrouk – Ali Karoui

    Tunisian
Tunisian actress Dorra gave us sparkle and structure with her stunning black gown by Arab designer Ali Karoui. Fitted and glittering, with bold white cape sleeves, the dress was straight-up art.

And the high-jewelry moment? The Messika Diamond Spears necklace added the rich aunt energy we all live for.

    Bella Hadid – Vintage Versace

    Palestinian-American
The renowned model, Bella Hadid, came through and snatched all the headlines in a jaw-dropping black vintage Versace gown straight from the Spring/Summer 2001 archives.

The V-neck halter top? Dreamy. The cinched basque waist and sequinned skirt? Absolutely sculpted perfection. Add Chopard earrings and you’ve got red carpet royalty. Bella reminded everyone why she’s that girl.

Salma Abu Deif – Zuhair Murad

    Egyptian
Metallic dreams came true with Salma’s silver Zuhair Murad gown. With an asymmetrical cut, matching wristband, and sleek styling, the actress/model looked like a futuristic goddess.

Minimal accessories, max impact. This was one of those “don’t blink or you’ll miss it” kind of looks.

    Yousra – Tony Ward

    Egyptian
The iconic actress Yousra was the moment at the opening ceremony. Styled by the Lebanese Cedric Haddad, she wore a fully beaded empire-cut gown by Tony Ward that looked as dreamy as can be.

Silver and gold embroidery shimmered over sheer greige tulle, and the puffed sleeves? So extra in the best way. She brought elegance, drama, and pure star power.

Yasmine Sabri – Jean Pierre Khoury

    Egyptian
The beautiful actress Yasmine Sabri slid into the premiere of The Apprentice looking like a walking sculpture.

Her off-the-shoulder Jean Pierre Khoury gown, decked out in crystals and paired with a flowing silk chiffon cape, hugged her figure in all the right ways. The Chopard jewelry just sealed the deal.

Aseel Omran – Elio Abou Fayssal

    Saudi
Aseel Omran made a statement at the Red Sea International Film Festival’s ‘Women in Cinema’ gala. Wearing a one-of-a-kind gold saree by Lebanese designer Elio Abou Fayssal, dripping in beads and fringe, the Arab actress mixed tradition with high fashion flawlessly.

    Saba Mubarak – Rami Kadi

    Jordanian
Jordanian Actress Saba turned up to the ‘Women in Cinema’ gala in a black sequin Rami Kadi gown that screamed modern glamour.

The fitted lurex fabric sparkled with every move, giving that head-to-toe shimmer we live for. Understated, sexy, and sophisticated, Saba totally ate.

    Raya Abirached – Georges Chakra

    Lebanese
The Lebanese presenter, our one and only Raya Abirached, brought rich drama in a red velvet archival Georges Chakra gown with a strapless neckline and a dramatic slit.

The embellished waist detail gave it that extra sparkle without overdoing it. Velvet for Cannes? Bold move, and she made it work like a pro.

Malak cannot seem to get enough of Literature - so much so that she has pursued it in both her BA and MA, and the love affair is still going strong. Aside from her love for words, humans generally fascinate her. She spends a lot of her time analyzing the minds of people around her and watching criminal minds. She is still fairly new in adulthood, and until now, nothing has made sense in life but chocolate.
