Coachella isn’t just about flower crowns and giant art installations anymore. Over the years, the festival has been giving more space to global voices. What once felt like a distant dream is now a growing reality, with more Arab artists taking up space in Coachella, raising flags (literally and metaphorically), and putting the region’s sound on the global map.

From powerhouse vocalists to DJs who know how to throw down a beat, here’s a rundown of the musicians from the Arab world who’ve already made their mark on the Coachella stage — and the ones set to bless it in 2025.

    Mohamed Ramadan – 2025

    Egyptian
The Egyptian superstar, Mohamed Ramadan is set to bring his signature charisma and electric stage presence to Coachella 2025. Known for his chart-topping hits, over-the-top performances, and bold personality, Mohamed Ramadan will become the first Egyptian to perform at the festival. Expect dancing, drama, and at least one shirtless moment.

    Ahmed Spins – 2025

    Moroccan
DJ Ahmed Spins, whose deep and afro house mixes are making waves, will be sharing the stage with Pete Tong in 2025. Son of Morocco’s prime minister, he’s bringing both beats and headlines to the desert. His sound is rhythmic, rooted, and completely festival-ready.

    Nooriyah – 2025

    Saudi-Bahraini
London-based DJ Nooriyah is making her Coachella debut in 2025. Known for blending Arabic percussion with UK electronic and garage influences, Nooriyah’s sets are cultural celebrations disguised as dance parties. She’s all about putting SWANA sounds front and center—and we’re here for it.

    Saint Levant – 2024

    Palestinian
In 2024, Saint Levant brought not only his multilingual flow but also a powerful political message to the Coachella stage. He seized the moment to speak out about the genocide in Palestine, reminding everyone that music and resistance can go hand in hand. His performance was emotional, bold, and unforgettable.

    Elyanna – 2023

    Palestinian-Chilean
Palestinian-Chilean singer Elyanna turned heads in 2023 with a dreamy, all-Arabic set that blended modern pop with Middle Eastern soul. Her presence felt like a breakthrough moment, as she brought Arabic music to one of the world’s biggest stages with confidence, elegance, and zero compromise.

    Sama’ Abdulhadi – 2022

    Palestinian
Sama’ Abdulhadi, the techno icon, brought serious underground energy to Coachella 2022. Her hard-hitting beats and intense, hypnotic set introduced many festivalgoers to the thriving electronic scene coming out of the Arab world. A pioneer in every sense.

    Belly – 2022

    Palestinian-Canadian
The rapper, Belly, also hit the stage in 2022, delivering slick bars and emotional lyrics with ease. As a longtime collaborator with The Weeknd and an outspoken advocate for Palestine, his performance added even more Arab flavor to the 2022 lineup.

    French Montana – 2018

    Moroccan-American
Moroccan-American rapper French Montana brought major main character energy to Coachella in 2018. With hits like “Unforgettable” and his signature blend of Arabic samples and hip-hop swagger, his set was a moment of pride for Arab fans around the world.

    DJ Khaled – 2017

    Palestinian-American
DJ Khaled hit the stage in 2017 with his larger-than-life energy. Born to Palestinian parents, Khaled didn’t center his Arab roots in the performance, but his presence still marked a moment—an early signal that artists with Arab heritage were starting to take up space at the world’s biggest music festival.

Each year, the lineup grows more global, and these artists are not only performing but also using the stage to express identity, resistance, and pride. With 2025 promising another milestone year, one thing is clear: the Arab world isn’t just watching Coachella—it’s shaping it.

Malak cannot seem to get enough of Literature - so much so that she has pursued it in both her BA and MA, and the love affair is still going strong. Aside from her love for words, humans generally fascinate her. She spends a lot of her time analyzing the minds of people around her and watching criminal minds. She is still fairly new in adulthood, and until now, nothing has made sense in life but chocolate.
