For many Egyptians, Eid preparations are incomplete without kahk, biscuits, and festive shopping. Families stock up on traditional sweets, buy new clothes, and ensure their homes are spotless and ready for celebrations.

But with rising prices, affording these essentials has become more challenging. To ease the burden, Egypt’s Ministry of Supply has launched the Ahlan Bel Eid exhibitions for the first time. This initiative aims to make Eid shopping more affordable by offering essential holiday goods at reduced prices.

The Ahlan Bel Eid exhibitions are a government-led initiative by the Ministry of Supply and the General Holding Company for Food Industries. The concept follows the success of “Ahlan Ramadan” markets, which helped stabilize food prices during the holy month.

Expanding on that idea, the Eid exhibition focuses on providing discounted food and clothing, ensuring families can enjoy Eid without financial strain. Because of that, the initiative offers quality products at competitive prices.

The first Ahlan Bel Eid exhibition will be held in Al-Sawah, Cairo, covering 1,000 square meters of space. A second exhibition is planned for Al-Sabtiya in collaboration with the Cairo Chamber of Commerce.

While these locations serve as key hubs, the initiative extends across Egypt, with multiple venues ensuring nationwide access. The exhibitions officially launch on Thursday, March 20, 2025, giving shoppers ample time to prepare for Eid with budget-friendly options.

Shoppers can expect discounts of up to 30% on a variety of essential Eid items. Among the highlights are:

    • Traditional sweets: Kahk, biscuits, and other festive treats from both leading private confectionery brands and government bakeries.
    • Clothing for all ages: The exhibitions don’t just focus on food—affordable fashion is also available to ensure everyone can celebrate in style.
    • Everyday essentials: Beyond Eid-specific products, consumers can find other staple goods at reduced prices, like sugar, eggs, and poultry.

These price cuts mean that families can shop for Eid without the usual financial stress, as goods here will be more affordable than in commercial retail chains.

Initiatives like Ahlan Bel Eid play a crucial role in stabilizing prices, ensuring that everyone can celebrate. By making these goods more accessible, the government is providing direct relief during a season that holds great cultural and social importance.

One of the most notable aspects of Ahlan Bel Eid is the collaboration between the public and private sectors. Government-run bakeries work alongside private confectionery companies to ensure a diverse selection of sweets.

Beyond the exhibitions themselves, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Interior have set up both fixed and mobile outlets to bring these discounts to more locations.

Visit the Exhibitions and Enjoy Eid Without Overspending

With unbeatable prices and a wide range of products, Ahlan Bel Eid exhibitions offer a great opportunity for Eid shopping. So, don’t forget to visit the exhibitions, take advantage of the discounts, and share your experience with friends and family!
