Ever since he launched his label back in 2009 when he was just 19 years old, French Designer Simon Porte Jacquemus cemented his spot in the industry through his childhood-inspired looks that stem from his love of the French countryside and his mother. Today, he continues to rise to the top through his deconstructed and surrealist looks that broke the industry.
Joining him in his journey is another prominent figure in the fashion world, Palestinian Model and Powerhouse Gigi Hadid. Since 2020, she has become the prominent face of his brand, appearing in multiple campaigns and runway shows.

“L’Année 97” Runway Show – W20
Giving a special throwback to the 90s, L’Année 97 is Jacquemus’ ode to his early beginnings, specifically, the simplicity of his first-ever designs. It was truly a throwback to his start with the fashion world, highlighted by a linen skirt that has an uncanny resemblance to the first skirt he designed for his mother when he was only 7 years old.
The entire Fall/Winter 2020 collection that appeared during Paris Fashion Week fed off that simple skirt. Marking her first proper appearance in a Jacquemes runway show, she strutted the catwalk in a beige linen high-slit dress and began their special journey of being the ultimate designer-model duo.
“Le Chouchou” Runway Show – FW23
Along a stretched-out scarlet carpet that extended on the boat-lined waters of Versailles was Jacquemes’ exquisite Fall Winter 2023 special collection dubbed “Le Chouchou.” Everyone from fashion bombshell Gigi Hadid to model sensation Kendall Jenner strutted along this elegant French venue to introduce his collection.

For his Fall Winter 2023 collection dubbed “Le Chouchou,” Jacquemes made Hadid the face of the campaign. Whimsical, loud, and bodacious, the campaign showcases a playful and sultry touch to the French designers’ work.
Photographer Johnny Dufrot snapped moments of Hadid in abstract art-inspired situations, including sitting in a foamy bathtub with a cherry on top. Hadid even posed in a red balloon dress that embodied an apple.
“Le Sculptures” Collection – SS24
Jacquemes is all about big and loud looks, and that is why his latest SS24 collection reveal was no exception. Gracing the runway once again was his go-to model, Hadid, who took over the runaway in a stunning creme coat with oversized puff arms.
With their latest collab being yet again another massive success, it goes to show that when fashion powerhouses come together, magic does truly happen.
