Telegram is a cloud-based application that allows users to exchange messages along with sending other forms of media such as photos and videos.
A Zionist telegram group has recently surfaced on social media and has over 85K subscribers. The group features a stream of texts that have been deemed to be dehumanizing of Palestinian life.
One post has an image of a deceased Palestinian man on the floor covered in blood with a comment that reads “Someone ordered hotdogs from a supermarket.”
In another post, a video features a Palestinian body that has been burned to death carried with a face covered unknown whether they are male or female. Below the video the caption reads “Finally a piece of meat that can fit in my pita”, referring to Palestinian life as an “unidentified lump of meat”.
The group chat continues with a series of anti-Palestinian remarks and inhumane comments that dehumanize the Palestinian people. Over 5,000 Palestinians have been murdered by Israeli missiles and air strikes during Israel’s bombardment of Palestine.
