One of the few sports that still maintains that exclusive air to it is the F1. Glitterati and jet setters from all over the world fly in to chase fast cars and the VIP-only parties that surround them.

Mixing and mingling is the name of the game and with the slew of events that happen, it’s hard to choose which are the ones you want to be a part of. For this year’s F1 in Abu Dhabi, Scoop Empire played sponsor to some of the hottest venues and activities. From the races to the pop-up clubs, here is what you shouldn’t miss out on next year:

    Where To Stay

    The Adagio Hotel

Book early, that is what the whole F1 weekend is about. If you don’t book from now, LITERALLY, you will not find any availabilities in the Yas Island hotels next year.

If you are a late booker, like we are, we totally recommend the Adagio Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

    adagio Abu Dhabi

A 10-minute drive to anywhere in downtown Abu Dhabi and a 15 to 20 minute car ride to Yas Island where all the activities are, the hotel is perfectly located.

    adagio Abu Dhabi

    adagio Abu Dhabi

Most hotel rooms have just enough space for the number of people staying in them, but the Adagio apartment suites give you all the room you need and privacy, with three bedrooms, gigantic living and dining rooms and a state of the art kitchen. If it were up to us, all the after parties would have been hosted in our suite and not some swanky yacht. 😉

The best part is the rates, ranging between 840 to 2,250 AED, depending on the size of the apartment.

    Where to Watch the Races

    The Paddock Lounge

    paddockclubAbuDhabi

For an exclusive, air-conditioned experience, hit up the Paddock Club. Perfectly situated in the Pit building, the club offers its invited guests to an unbeatable view of the tracks and all the action.

If you are part of the lucky bunch who get their hands on a pass, we definitely recommend the open bar and their restaurant. If you choose not to leave, the terrace turns into the perfect location to mingle with the rest of the spectators and sip on delicious cocktails.

    The Yachts

    F1Abudhabiyachts

This would have to be one of our favorite places to check out the races. Chilling on a yacht, with the world’s best DJs mixing for you, drinks flowing and Lewis Hamilton and the likes speeding by in front of you – this is one experience no one should miss.

The yacht parties are abundant, with different companies and clubs booking out some of the world’s biggest boats for your viewing pleasure. Make sure you have a Marina pass and Boat pass to get onto one of these, or else you’ll have to watch from the stands.

    Rush at the Viceroy Hotel

Although Rush is primarily a club, it has an incredible view of the tracks. Situated in the Viceroy Hotel in what resembles a bridge above the tracks, you get an incomparable view of the cars racing by and underneath you.

Not to mention, the bar and DJs playing there are worth you staying indoors to check out the race.

    RushAbudhabi

    Where To Party

There are plenty of places to hit up during the F1, but the best we attended are the ones we would recommend over and over again.

People by the Sea – Crystal Group

If it was daytime vibes you were looking for and sexy deep beats, People by the Sea was the place to be. Located on Yas Beach, Crystal Group took over and hosted two days of some of the best music we heard on the island. With headliners like Timo Maas and Audio Jack, our ears were not complaining.

People has been voted for years as the best club in Dubai, so taking over the Abu Dhabi scene was a no-brainer.

    White Takes Over Iris

Iris is probably one of the hottest places to hit up on the Yas Island Marina, always full of people pre-drinking/post-drinking and partying. But when Beirut’s hottest club, White, hits up the venue, you know it will be a night to remember, and that it was!

One of Beirut’s hottest exports, DJ Mad Jam, was behind the decks, blasting out hit after hit, keeping the crowd dancing like there was no tomorrow.

    Iris Club Abu Dahbi White

VIP Room at the Radisson Blu

The winners of the F1 when it came to celebrity hosts and entertainment was by far the VIP Room at the Radisson Blu Hotel, which pulled out all the stops over three days with the likes of Future, French Montana and last but not least Kim Kardashian.

For us, it is key that a venue understands that it isn’t only about the atmosphere but also the entertainment. Booking musicians with a slew of hits under their belt is important, and like we all know, an encouraging reason to get all the big spenders to keep ordering champagne!
