Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is a beautiful city with many wonderful tourist sites that draw visitors from all over the world. But do you know what it’s also known for? Abu Dhabi is famous for its annual Formula-1 race, which has seen big names like Beyoncé, Kings of Leon, Aerosmith, Kanye West, Linkin Park, and Prince perform at after-race concerts over the years.

In light of this, the American pop-rock band, Maroon 5 will perform in Abu Dhabi for the first time. On May 6, they will perform at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island. Maroon 5 has previously performed in the region at the Dubai Media City amphitheater in 2008 and the Dubai World Trade Centre in 2019. They earned three Grammy Awards for their uplifting songs that have connected with a large number of people throughout the years.

So, have you considered visiting Abu Dhabi in May? There will be a performance by Maroon 5, but there are many other things to do in this one-of-a-kind city. For others, music may be the only thing that matters, but while you’re there hearing your favorite band perform, why not visit some tourist destinations and engage in some enjoyable activities? So, here are six things you can do there!

    Visit the Louvre Abu Dhabi

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is one of the most spectacular museums in the Middle East since it chronicles humanity’s artistic triumphs throughout history. With its galleries gathered under a vast silver dome, the museum’s contemporary architecture is enough reason to visit.

Check out Abu Dhabi’s Ferrari World

This is an exceptional theme park that brings the thrill of Formula One racing to Abu Dhabi and is one of the city’s top things to do for adrenaline junkies and families alike. A Ferrari factory tour is also available, as well as a collection of Ferrari cars dating back to 1947.

Yas Island is a Great Place to Relax and Enjoy the Sun!

Since you’re there to see Maroon 5, you should take advantage of everything the island has to offer, from on-site cafés, restaurants, and food kiosks serving a variety of cuisines to a large swimming pool area with cabanas for rent. There are also plenty of sun loungers and shades for resting on the sand, as well as additional lounging spots off the sand.

Take the Kids to Warner Bros World!

This is Yas Island’s newest theme park, and it’s a terrific spot to visit if you’re a big lover of Warner Bros. movies! All of the rides at Warner Bros. World are themed around the heroes and villains from cartoons, movies, and comic books. If you’re traveling with children, this is an excellent site to take them on a tour.

    Visit Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is the country’s largest mosque and the focal point for daily prayers. After nearly two decades of work, it finally opened in 2007. It is also dedicated to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahyan and can house 40,000 worshippers. Non-Muslims are also permitted to enter all areas of the mosque, and the mosque offers free guided tours on a regular basis.

Take a Trip to the Desert Dunes

A desert safari to either the stunning Liwa Oasis or the Al Khatim Desert near Al Ain is the most popular day activity or overnight trip from Abu Dhabi city. The dunes in these places are a terrific playground for anyone who wishes to ride dune buggies, try sand-boarding, go camel trekking, or venture into the dunes themselves, and most journeys include stops to see a camel farm to get a flavor of the traditional desert life.

That’s all there is to it! There are a variety of activities available in Abu Dhabi this May, including visiting Yas Island to see Maroon 5 perform your favorite songs. Also, the weather will be ideal, and you’ll discover that Abu Dhabi is a city you can’t get enough of.
