The fees for this application will be LE100 for internal use and LE 250 for travel, according to Salah.
Thus, paper certificates and the application will eventually be the only two means to confirm who took the vaccine, he said. This application will work in conjunction with the paper certificate, storing all of the citizen’s information as well as their vaccine. As a result, Egypt’s own vaccine manufacturing has sped up the vaccination procedure, according to Salah.
The electronic health passport, according to the ministry, will be used at airports to assess a person’s status with the COVID-19 vaccine.

In addition, the application is anticipated to make it easier for citizens to prove that they have received the vaccine by using QR codes and Egypt’s Cabinet agreed on Sunday to set aside LE 1 billion to combat the country’s COVID-19 outbreak. On the other hand, non-vaccinated civil employees will not be allowed to access their workplaces after Nov. 15, according to a meeting held by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and attended by many ministers and officials.
In a broadcast announcement, Saad stated that beginning in December, 2021, students will be denied admission to any university unless they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
By the end of this year, 40 million citizens will have been vaccinated against COVID-19, according to Presidential Adviser for Health Affairs Awad Tag Eddin. Under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s orders, the third dose of the vaccine will be administered to and prioritize medical personnel, the elderly, and people with chronic diseases.
The presidential adviser praised the large number of people who came to the immunization centers, which totaled 1,200, and stating that vaccinations for students will begin with university students, and subsequently other students under the age of 18 will be considered.
The health passport will come in three colors: red, which will indicate that a person has not been vaccinated, yellow will indicate that they have had one dose, and green will indicate that they have received two doses.
Insured certificates for persons who have received the vaccine will be another method of verification as well.
