The World Cup is coming and we’ve already locked our viewing schedule for most of the matches! We’ve definitely come down with a case of football fever – we don’t care what you say about the bandwagon.

While you can certainly watch the games pretty much anywhere – from an ahua balady to a five-star hotel to your bed – we’ve rounded up our favorite spots in the capital to catch a match with a group of friends and maybe even win some prizes along the way!

Arkan Plaza – 6th of October

    arkan

Definitely the best place to cheer for your team in 6th of October, Arkan Mall will be setting up giant screens for your viewing pleasure. We heard they’ll also be doing a couple of World Cup competitions where you can win vouchers from different outlets! Stay tuned to their Facebook page for details.

Address: 6th of October City, Al Jizah

    Contact: 02 3852 2650

El Dokan – New CairodokanThink you can predict the score? Head to El Dokan and prove it. When you sit down, answer the questions on the placemat – from choosing the winner to guessing the final scorer – and get it stamped by your waiter. You win a prize if you get an answer right!

Address: Emerald Empire Mall, First Settlement, New Cairo and Cairo Festival City, Fifth Settlement, New Cairo

    Contact: 01211950066 / 01000066988

    Fig Lounge – Kattameya

    fig

The popular fusion lounge is also doing a World Cup competition, challenging all the jokesters on Instagram. All you have to do is take a picture of the match, tag @figlounge and add a funny caption of your choosing. The most creative wins a 100 LE voucher.

    Address: Downtown Kattameya Mall

    Contact: 01140441456 / 01144333043

    The Garden – Korba

    thegarden

If the match is so intense that you feel you need to nurse a cold one to get through it, head to The Garden on the east side of town. Expect a rowdy crowd, but maybe that’s what you’re looking for!

Address: 25 Al Ahram Street, Korba

    Contact: 0100 826 3000

    L’Aubergine – Zamalek

    laubergine

L’Aubergine in Zamalek is always a good spot to watch any match, whether you just want to kick back and munch on their vegetarian options or you’re feeling feisty and want to head upstairs for a round of drinks and a lively debate with fans of the opposing team.

Address: 5 El Sayed El Bakry Street, Zamalek

    Contact: 02 27380080

    Na2na2a – Korba

    na2na2

Another favorite in Korba, Na2na2a is the place to park yourself if you like shisha with your football. Rumor has it, they’ll be passing out complimentary bites during the World Cup matches. Yum!

Address: 3 El Thawra Street, El Korba, Heliopolis

    Contact: 02 22902831

    Sequoia – Zamalek
