Known for its soaring skyscrapers and luxurious ways of life, the United Arab Emirates is often mistaken for a man-made metropolis that lacks in nature. To an inexperienced eye, that indeed may be the case; however, upon further exploration, a traveler could discover that the Emirates has hundreds of thousands of square kilometers of natural landscapes unspoiled by human activity. These pristine spaces range from wind-shifting dunes to beautiful beaches. In fact, the UAE stands out when it comes to its beaches.

With picturesque sunsets, blue-azure waters, and yellow sands, the beaches of the UAE are perhaps some of the most breathtaking around the world. There, one could spend a wholesome day with family and friends or all alone. It is the perfect getaway before the summer season comes to an end.

So, without further delay, here is our pick of the UAE’s most pristine beaches.

    Al Mamzar Beach, Dubai

    Via Godayuse.

At the heart of Deira district, a few kilometers away from Dubai International Airport, Al Mazmar Beach Park is an oval landscape with sandy beaches and clear waters. The area is surrounded by five separate beaches on the outside and 55,000 square meters of greenery on the inside.

    Jumeirah Public Beach, Dubai

Overlooking one of Dubai’s iconic buildings, Jumeirah Public Beach is one of the Emirates most well-known beaches as it does not have any entrance fees. Furthermore, the beach has strict international standards as well as natural beauty. Here beachgoers can enjoy a number of activities including swimming, cycling, and jogging.

    Marina Beach, Dubai

    Via TimeOutDubai.

Here at Marina Beach, the scenery of skyscrapers blends with the turquoise waves caressing a sandy outstretch. The pristine landscape offers beachgoers the ultimate chill-out experience, with relaxing sunrays, beautiful waters, and a number of stress-relieving, recreational activities.

    Kite Beach, Dubai

    Via TripAdvisor

If you are an adrenaline junkie and love water sports, Kite Beach is the place to go. At the beach, you can try everything from kite-surfing and wakeboarding to stand-up paddle boarding. Beyond that, it is one of the liveliest beaches across Dubai, a spot where you can gather your friends for a game of volleyball or catch a bite to eat at the infamous burger spot known as SALT.

    Saadiyat Public Beach, Abu Dhabi

    Via Visit Abu Dhabi.

With white sand, breathtaking deep blue waters, and ambient vibes, Saadiyat Public Beach is one of the UAE’s oldest, most iconic beaches. Here, travelers can practice yoga in an atmosphere of absolute calmness, only the sound of lapping waves breaking on the shore can be heard.

    Corniche Beach, Abu Dhabi

    Via Jumeirah.

The Corniche Beach of Abu Dhabi is one of few beaches that can boast about having a Blue Flag Status, which is a highly-coveted award given to the most taintless and secure of beaches around the country. Here, beachgoers can enjoy the sight of Lulu islands looming in the horizon with nothing but relaxation on mind.

    Al Khan Beach, Sharjah

    Via EyeEm.

What makes Al Khan beach unique is that it holds the distinction of being the oldest beach in Sharjah. Decades later, it is still as relevant. In fact, it is one of the country’s leading water sports hubs, with activities such as kayaking, kitesurfing, parasailing, banana boat rides, the adventurous flyboard ride and much more.

    Ajman Beach, Sharjah

    Via Bayut.

One of the UAE’s longest beaches, Ajman beach offers visitors an unmatches coastline, with clean, cold waters that are sure to make you refreshed. Here, beachgoers can enjoy picnics by the ocean or engage in a myriad of pastimes.
