Egypt has withstood the test of time, being one of several locations that was once home to a large ancient civilization. Over the years, it has grown to become a thriving metropolitan home to some of the most beautiful landmarks and historic sites in the region. It is also home to some of the most scenic and resplendent views, whether it is at the top of a medieval castle, or at the summit of the country’s highest mountain. To experience it for yourself, we’ve put together the best spots around Cairo that boast picturesque and breathtaking views.

    Cairo Tower

At the highest point, Zamalek’s Cairo Tower stands at a whopping 187 meters, offering one of the best views in all of Egypt. From atop it, viewers can see some of Cairo’s most prominent landmarks including the Cairo Opera House, Cairo University, and the Pyramids of Giza.

    Azhar Park

One of the largest public parks in all of the world, Al-Azhar Park is home to sixty hectares of greenery in the heart of old Cairo. It neighbors Al-Darb Al-Ahmar, one of Egypt’s most historically valuable districts. At the park’s observatory, one can experience a panoramic view of one of the world’s oldest capitals.

Atop Mount Sinai’s summit, a breathtaking view of the Sinai Peninsula will instill something beautiful at the heart of each viewer.
