We’re days away from the 8th edition of the Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival in Cairo (D-CAF), which takes place from the 29th of March till the 21st of April. If you’ve never attended the festival before, then you probably should start getting ready, for you cannot afford to miss this one. D-CAF is the only international multi-disciplinary contemporary arts festival in Egypt; taking place in different venues in Downtown Cairo throughout the span of three weeks.
Artists from Egypt, Denmark, Hungary, Iran, France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Palestine, Germany, and Syria will present 40 events and workshops. Those range from performing arts events, concerts, urban vision performances, media programs, film programs, film screenings, and workshops.
The festival will take place in different venues in Downtown Cairo, including Sherefeen Street, Tamara building, Rawabet Theatre, Falaki Theatre, Greek Campus, La Vennoise Rooftop, Cinema Zawya, Maktabi Creative Office spaces, Studio Emad Eddin, and 100 Copies Studio.
As you can see in the full program above, there is a lot going on every day, and if you haven’t already created your schedule, then you better get to it. Also, you need to book tickets for events that you want to attend, because you can be sure that they will be fully booked!
