Once every while, at home or the office, a sudden grip of craving takes hold; it could be pizza, burgers, or even instant noodles, but one way or another, it must be satisfied. The foodie’s struggle is real, and unfortunately, most of us do not have enough time to hop from one restaurant to the other relishing delicacies.

To satisfy the demand, a number of food-delivery services have popped up throughout the country delivering everything from junk food to groceries. And to help you navigate your way through these different services, here is our guide to the different mobile apps that will help you satisfy your craving with a wholesome meal.

    Glovo

    Via Romania Insider.

In under a year, Glovo, a delivery service for almost everything, has proven itself to be one of the top contenders when it comes to this type of business. The international company has expanded to Egypt in the summer of last year, and with their timely delivery, various discounts, and ease of use, Glovo has become a crowd’s favorite.

Glovo is available on both the App Store and Play Store, and now, in just a few taps on your phone, you could order food from your favorite restaurant and track it down until it reaches your location.

    Uber Eats

    Via Cnet.

Your favorite ride-hailing app decided to not limit their services to just on demand transportation and expand into food delivery. Overnight, Uber Eats has become the talk of the town with an innumerable amount of restaurants to choose from and quick, professional delivery; indeed, your tummy is in safe hands.

The app has three options; first, you browse through the different options, then order your favorite delicacy, and finally, track down your order on a map until it reaches you safe and sound. If you are interested in using Uber Eats, then you might also be interested in using something like these Ubereats special referral codes in India.

    Yumamia

    Via Cairo West Magazine.

Creators of Yumamia understood the struggle of wanting to satisfy a foodie’s craving and eating healthy, and so they have come up with a delivery service that only gets you healthy, junk-free food. The visually-appealing app will work as your trusted healthy conscious, guiding you through the different eateries that offer gluten-free, organic options.

    Otlob

    Via Qanat Al-ghad.

Perhaps one of the oldest food delivery services in Egypt, Otlob has been around the block since 1999. It prides itself as being one of the quickest, easiest, and most reliable food ordering experiences. The Otlob application is available on both Android and iOS.

The best thing about Otlob is that almost all restaurants are there and it is available in 25 cities. The worst thing is that sometimes orders get mixed up. However, whenever someone rants on social media, the people at Otlob always fix it.

    Elmenus

    Via Elmenus.

In 2011, Elmenus started out as the ultimate guide for Egyptian restaurant information; from dishes to prices, it helped many choose where to dine and get to learn more about the growing food scene. Nowadays, Elmenus has 6,000 restaurants with up-to-date information; they have also introduced the delivery service and using their app, you can order from any restaurant in Egypt with just a click of a button.

    Carriage

    Via wanhapehtoori.com.

In March 2019, it was announced that the Kuwaiti rising food-delivery startup is to expand in Egypt after onboarding 600 restaurants. The services that Carriage delivers are currently available in several urban centers all over Great Cairo including Maadi, Sheikh Zayed, Heliopolis, Fifth Settlement, 6th of October, and Nasr City. The startup plans to expand them to cover more districts within the capital and then launch in Alexandria and two other cities in Egypt by the end of 2019.

    GoodsMart

    Via

The Cairo-based startup is redefining grocery shopping with a straightforward, personalized experience that would help make life easier. GoodsMart app allows you to order all you need from groceries to pharmaceuticals before 9 P.M. and delivers it to your doorstep at 6 A.M. sharp without even ringing the doorbell.

Unfortunately, up to this day, the service is only available in 6th of October and Sheikh Zayed, but the creators are looking to expand all over Egypt.
