1. Everything happens for a reason and as cliche as that might sound, God always has your best interest in mind. If it’s something bad or it’s not what you really wanted, you’ll end up learning from it. Just think of it as a lesson to make you stronger.
2. Some people tell you that everyone you meet contributes slightly to your life, some make a big difference and others introduce you to new opportunities or people. Of course, there are also those who give you terrible experiences. Learn to tell the difference and read people.
3. Life is all about the ups and downs and both are equally important. Without the downs you wouldn’t know how to appreciate the ups and you wouldn’t have a strong character with experience to pass on to your children or loved ones.
4. Always do your best at anything you’re doing, because nothing in this world comes easily. Don’t consider failure as an option, but if it does happen then it wasn’t meant to be. Get back up on your feet and move on. Just as simple as that!
5. Spend the majority of your time doing the things you love and are passionate about. It’s true that sometimes you need to suck it up and do things that you don’t really fancy, but dedicate 60-70% of your time to your passion. How? Look for a job that represents you as a person and what you’d like to do with your life.
6. Take the time to take care of yourself as pampering is crucial and it reflects on everything around you – the way you look, deal with people and life. It’s never too late to try out something new and never say, ‘I’m too old’ for this or that. Try out new trends, go for a cool haircut, work out and try some fun sports, like pole dancing or Zumba. Dress your best and you’ll notice the difference.
7. Only time heals wounds and bad experiences, but positive thoughts make time move much faster.
8. Do something that makes you happy on a daily basis and you’ll have an exciting life to look back on and talk about.
9. Always try to help someone in need. It doesn’t just make you feel better, but someday you’ll also find someone who’ll help you out for no reason. Be kind as everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle – keep that in mind.
10. Laugh as often as you can and make sure to show the people around you how much you care about them.
11. Learn from your mistakes and stop obsessing about what you could have done differently or better. Your mistakes are experiences you collect along your way and you are the person you are today because of them.
12. Stop wasting time on judging people and instead of that, work hard on improving yourself.
13. Don’t trust people blindly, unless they prove they are trustworthy. You likely have only a few close friends and the rest are acquaintances.
14. Stop obsessing about men, they don’t define you. Only you define yourself.
15. If you don’t move your butt and chase the things you’d like to achieve, someone else will most certainly beat you to it.
