People who don’t have a personal driver assume that it’s a luxurious and comfortable thing. While people who actually have personal drivers in Egypt understand how hectic and annoying it can be to deal with them.

Here are 8 Types of Egyptian personal drivers you find everywhere:

    1. The Mr. Know-It-All

    1

This one is probably the most annoying one. He thinks he knows it all; he is always recommending the wrong shortcuts. He never stops talking about the news, the weather, the traffic, or any other nonsense topic that pops in his head.

    2. The one that doesn’t know anything at all

    2

This one probably has Alzheimer’s problems. He doesn’t have the slightest sense of direction. He doesn’t even know his way around the common places in Egypt and always seems to get lost. Don’t even ask me how he is working as a driver.

    3. The one that pimps his ride

    3

This one most probably had a long dream of owning his own car, but failed to fulfill it. So instead he decides to pimp up your car and consider it his. He always puts on loud mahragan and sha3by music. He buys the ugliest accessories for the car. And adds the funniest bumper stickers.

    4. The loyal one

    4

This one has been passed on from one family member to the other. He has been with your family since you were 5 years old. He started working for your grandfather, then your uncle until some how he was passed on to you. He knows all your family members one by one, mostly because he is considered as a member himself.

    5. The ones that’s 3ala el ma3ash

    5

This type of driver has all the flaws in the world. He is too old to function. He is extremely slow; his maximum speed limit is 40 kmph. He definitely has Alzheimer’s, a hearing problem and an eye disorder. You get extremely irritated when you’re ridding with him but you cant get mad at him because he is just too cute.

    6. The one el faker nafso beyl3ab Need for Speed

    6

Yes, I’m in a hurry but I don’t prefer to die. We are not in a video game. Relax! This one never follows the law. He can take you from Zamalek to Heliopolis in blink of the eye, but terrifies the heck out of you along the way.

    7. The one that acts like your best friend

    7

This one probably knows all your deepest secrets. He is so interested in your life that he eavesdrop on everything you and your friends say. He treats your friends like his own and tries to give you the best life advice. But sometimes you just want him to chill and mind his own business.

    8. The Perfect Driver

    8

This type of Egyptian Driver only exists in your dreams. It’s practically impossible to have a perfect Egyptian driver.

But if you’re somehow lucky enough to find one please pass him on to me!
