Books have the power to heal almost anything. Books give advice, experience, and knowledge, they do not judge, you may be surprised by how much easier it becomes to overcome difficulties with a good book and a cup of tea.

Books are silent. They do not interrupt you; they do not impose their views. They just whisper stories, and you become slowly healed and reborn into a new life without noticing it. Here they are, the nine books to read when you go through a breakup.

‘What I Talk About When I Talk About Running’ by Haruki Murakami

“Nothing in the real world is as beautiful as the illusions of a person about to lose consciousness.”

An inspirational book that encourages you to challenge yourself to overcome pain and fear, yet it also underlines the importance of these feelings and the importance of accepting reality. The reality that pain is necessary and nothing ever remains the same.

‘He’s Just Not That Into You’ by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo

“A man who wants to make a relationship work will move mountains to keep the woman he loves”

You’ve probably seen the movie or at least heard about it, but we have to agree that nothing ever compares to reading the book. This book should be read by every girl out there and they should live by it too. The book states what is obvious to us girls but unfortunately, we become too wrapped up by the idea of being in love with someone and fail to see it for what it is.

‘Him, Her, Him Again, The End of Him’ by Patricia Marx

“Once you do something against your better judgment, it gets easier to do something else against your better judgment, and pretty soon, you’re doing things against everyone’s better judgment.”

The writer confessed that the book about an unnamed, neurotic college girl who spends 10 years pining for a pretentious PhD student is based on her own experience with love, which is probably why it feels SO right.

    ‘Dolores Claiborne’ by Stephen King

“Sometimes being a bitch is all a woman’s got to hold on to.”

Not for the faint-hearted. It’s a chilling book that showcases the resilience of women, even those trapped in unbearable circumstances in a really powerful way.

‘Eat, Pray, Love’ by Elizabeth Gilbert

“This is a good sign, having a broken heart. It means we have tried for something.”

This is an inspiring story for us to understand that life does not end after a breakup; in fact, life may start after it. Her divorce was bitter, and her love affair was disastrous, but she has found ways and strengths to change life for better. There is no lady who would not like this book and the story it tells about a divorced woman and her soul-searching journey to Italy, India, and Indonesia

‘This Is How You Lose Her’ By Junot Diaz

“And That’s when I know it’s over. As soon as you start thinking about the beginning, it’s the end.”

This is a book that helps you understand that all men need to realize how bad they are before becoming good. This is a story that will probably help you perceive your ex differently.

‘How to Heal A Broken Heart in 30 Days’ by Howard Bronson and Mike Rilley

    “It’s over. Now what?”

This book breaks down breakups in a practical, daily, easy-to-understand way that helps people process their emotions while also moving on in a positive way. If you are a heartbroken practical person, this is definitely the book for you.
