Bahrain is filled with some of the most picturesque spots where you will undoubtedly experience both the past and the present of the nation from the Bahrain National Museum to the Manama Souq. To learn more about this vibrant island nation, we’ve curated the perfect guide.

    Bahrain National Museum

The Bahrain National Museum, which was constructed in Dec. 1988 and covers a total area of about 20,000 square meters, is one of the largest public museums in the nation and is home to numerous objects that illustrate Bahrain’s lengthy history. One of Bahrain’s top tourist destinations, it is situated near Manama’s Shaikh Hamad Causeway and provides all history fans with an enriching experience. The entire museum is arranged into six main sections, each of which includes six halls and contains relics from a kingdom that dates back nearly 5,000 years. Beyond its rich collection of artifacts, guests will also enjoy its beachside location and stunning architecture. You can visit the museum at any time between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm.

    Via Radisson Blu

    Riffa Fort

Riffa Fort, which is situated on Rd No. 368 in Riffa, Bahrain, is one of the most popular tourist destinations because of its spectacular architecture and ability to transport visitors to the time of the Al Khalifas, a ruling family of Bahrain. Back in 1812, Sheikh Salman Bin Ahmad Al Fatih built the fort which today is home to a modest museum with a variety of exhibits and artifacts that will provide visitors with an enlightening experience. Additionally, there is a mosque inside the fort that is accessible outside prayer times. There is no admission charge, and you can visit any time between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm except on Sundays.

    Manama Souq

Within the heart of the city is one of the top Bahrain tourist destinations known as Manama Souq. Operating for more than 50 years, this souq offers guests and tourists a genuine look into Bahraini culture. It is a fantastic location to get Bahraini spices, jewelry, and other often purchased products. Be careful as you should embrace your negotiating abilities to acquire the best deals since this is the only way to purchase reasonably priced items at the Manama Souq. You can visit the Souq any time between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm except on Fridays.

    Via Wyndham Garden

    Hawar Island

Some of the most endangered birds in the region can be seen dashing along the beach on the islands, which are their home. Among other uncommon species, one can see the Socotra Cormorant as well as the Arabian Oryx, which wildlife enthusiasts can occasionally encounter there. The best length of time to spend there is approximately 2-3 days, and the Bahrain International Airport is the closest airport, which is situated about 70.67 km from Hawar Islands.

    Via Hozpitality Plus

    Shaikh Isa Bin Ali House

Shaikh Isa Bin Ali House in Muharraq was once home to Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, who ruled from 1869 to 1932, making him the longest ruler of Bahrain. The building was constructed around 1800, and a visit here will provide you with a glimpse into 19th-century royal life. With its fascinating architecture and fine wall carvings, this grand house is one of the best-preserved examples of traditional local architecture in the pre-oil era according to Viator. Though unfurnished now, the ornate decoration within the house makes it a wonderful place to explore, with its multiple staircases, intricate archways, and pleasant courtyards. To know more about tickets & tours, you should check this website.

If you truly want to learn about the city of Bahrain, visiting any of these touristic spots will give you an intimate glimpse into everything from the city’s thriving culture to its historical royal family.
