    >> Google Glass

Google’s futuristic visor may look like something out of a sci-fi film, but we’re only a year away from seeing them in stores. The company unveiled more information about the Google Glass project on Wednesday, including a new video that shows what it’s like to wear the voice-activated smart-specs.

Check out the video below: –

     >> Outlook.com Officially Launched

Microsoft has officially launched its email service Outlook.com from beta, and it links together social networking and cloud service SkyDrive. The company has announced that within 12 hours of it’s launch, 1.5 million users have already opened new accounts!

    >> Yahoo Gets a makeover

Yahoo, Google’s biggest search engine competitor, rolled out a new layout for it’s site in the past couple of days in te US. The biggest overall change is an increased emphasis on personalization, A big part of the front page is the news feed of articles from around the web, and with the redesign, Yahoo is introducing a couple of ways to personalize the content — it starts out as a generic feed, but the site learns more about your interests based on what you click on, and the stories that get surfaced in your feed will start to adjust accordingly.

    >> Twitter tests new advertising platform and rolls out Lead Generation

The large scale advertising days fo twitter are yet to come. Inthe past week, the social media giant has rolled out a fe updates to tackle the matter and get rolling in the deep with advertising.

The first update that Twitter is testing is a new ad unit that gives direct marketers a way to generate leads directly from tweets.

You can see an example of the unit in this tweet promoting Twitter’s small business guide. Not only is there a small image promoting the guide, but if you’re logged in, it also shows a “Get it now” button. When you hit the button, you don’t get asked for a phone number or email address — instead, you get a message saying that “Twitter Advertising will reach out soon.” Presumably, the advertiser will get a list of interested Twitter accounts.

Another update that was announced by Twitter is a new Ads API that will give advertisers new ways to manage and purchase Twitter’s ad products, enabling advertisers to generate ads and campaigns and more easily tweak them specifically for user groups and platforms. But the Ads API won’t be available to everyone right off the bat, instead, Twitter has announced five initial partners that marketers will be able to use to leverage the API.

The first five partners who have access to the Ads API platform are Adobe, Hootsuite, Salesforce, SHIFT and TBG Digital.

    >> Attachements.me

Attachments.me, a service that helps you find and save Gmail attachments to your Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive and Box accounts, has announced a new feature today called Attachments Everywhere, which adds the ability to share, manage and track files stored in the cloud.

The update has been rolled out on the Attachments.me website and iPhone app, giving users an entirely new way of controlling what files they share with other people.

    >> iPhone 5: Best selling Smart Phone

The iPhone 5 managed to overtake the Samsung Galaxy S III as the world’s best-selling smartphone during the fourth quarter of 2012, according to new figures published earlier this week by market research and consulting firm Strategy Analytics.

I just love this war that is going on netween the 2 companies. Without it, we would have been stuck with Nokia 6110’s forever!
